Introducing Savage Friends, a powerhouse band featuring veteran Central NY musicians John Savage (guitar/vocals), John Kelsey (guitar/vocals), Dan Porter (bass/vocals), and Darryl Mattison (percussion).

 

With a rich blend of blues, roots rock, Americana, and reggae influences spanning six decades, this ensemble brings a diverse sound to the stage. Singer-songwriter John Savage is joined by an incredible lineup of CNY All Stars including rhythm section extraordinaire Dan Porter and Darryl Mattison, whose musical partnership dates back to  the 70's with bands Solid Oak, Midnight Oil, Dust Devil Band, and Paul Case Band among others.

Lead guitar virtuoso John Kelsey was a staple in the Syracuse music scene appearing at numerous clubs and festivals including Dinosaur BBQ and Taste of Syracuse with Isreal Hagan's band Stroke.  John's playing style is infectious!
